The Boat That Rocked is a 2009 ensemble comedy film, released in the United Kingdom on 1 April 2009.

A red carpet wound through the middle of London's Leicester Square as women dressed in 60s' outfits danced on a plinth with vinyl record discs in the background.

I would say that the films target audeice, is mainly people who love rock music, and who was growing up listening to rock music in the 60s, that would be a sort of flashback for them.
